Abstract Submission Guidelines
ABSTRACTS WILL BE EVALUATED AS ORAL PRESENTATIONS AND SHORT ORAL PRESENTATIONS.
Evaluation of Abstracts
The evaluation will be conducted by the Congress Scientific Committee, keeping the researchers’ names, surnames, and institutions confidential. To be eligible for evaluation, at least one of the researchers must have completed the congress registration process. The Congress Scientific Committee has the right to decide to change the abstracts to oral or poster presentations.
Congress Language
The congress language is Turkish-English.
Submission of Abstracts
The deadline for abstract submission is September 30, 2024, at 23:59.
Congress Registration
The early registration deadline for the congress is September 30, 2024, at 23:59, and the final registration deadline is October 31, 2024, at 23:59.
Acceptance Document
Acceptance documents for accepted abstracts will be sent by November 1, 2024.
Abstract Format (Click here to download the abstract format)
1. The full names of the authors must be written, and the name and surname of the presenting researcher must be in bold and underlined.
2. The names and addresses of the institutions where the authors work must be specified. Institution information should be given in the format of “University Name, Faculty/School/Institute Name, Department, Postal Code, City, Country” (e.g., XXXX University, Faculty of Medicine, XXXX Department, 1234, City, COUNTRY).
3. The first letters of the words in the abstract title must be capitalized (abbreviations are exceptions).
4. The abstract should be written in a structured format using the headings purpose, method, findings, and conclusion.
5. If an abbreviation is used in the abstract, the full name of the abbreviation must be stated in parentheses the first time it is used.
6. The purpose of the study and the methods used should be briefly stated in the abstract, the findings should be summarized with sufficient numerical detail, and the conclusion should be explained within the framework of the presented findings.
7. The total abstract must not exceed 400 words (excluding title, author/institution information, references).
8. At least three keywords must be used. Keywords should be provided at the end of the abstract, before the references if any.
9. The type of presentation (oral or poster/short oral) must be indicated. (At the end of the abstract, after the references, an explanation should be added as “Presentation Type: Oral” or “Presentation Type: Poster/Short Oral.”). Note: The type of presentation indicates the participant’s preference. The scientific evaluation committee has the authority to accept/reject the abstract or change its type.
10. The duration of oral presentations is 15 minutes (12 minutes presentation, 3 minutes question and answer). Since posters will be evaluated as Short Oral Presentations, they will be presented in 5-minute oral presentations. It is important to prepare your presentations according to the specified durations for the scientific program to proceed as planned.
11. Abstracts must be written in Microsoft Word, in “Times New Roman” font, 10 points, 1.5 line spacing, and justified. The file must be submitted in “DOC or DOCX” format without being converted to PDF.
